Brothers with hearts. Where are they?

one poster here mentioned how, after he was appointed as an elder, things took on a more "corporate" feel.

i was an ms and as such went, dutifully, to the bi-annual meetings with the co. i was sorely disappointed.

i had imagined sort of a round-table discussion of trends and potential difficulties in the congregation, along with a coordinated effort to help people out.

I can think of countless examples of Brothers, mainly Elders, showing no real love or understanding, totally like the Pharisees and not at all like Jesus.

Also, I am often told stories by mentally-in J.W's who complain how such a Brother has mistreated them in some way. I gently sow a seed in there minds by saying; "We should all be more like Jesus". They agree with me, say it's something to do with the Organization being made up from imperfect human men, and then say how wonderful The Truth is, contradicting themselves. *facepalm

The combination of the A.R.C, the Christian Life And Ministry Mid-Week Meetings and the launch of J.W Broadcasting television woke me up big time and I have been pretty sick since, battling with being P.I.M.O for family.

dutch newspapers report that a gb member was in the netherlands last week for contact with the state secretary of justice because of the abuse cases.

I am surprised any G.B member showed up, after the theatrics of Geoffrey Jackson and Gerrit Loesch in recent years! There's talk in the news of Trump facing a subpoena but surely he could just ignore it like Gerrit did?

what questions could pimos ask elders, that elders would be unable to answer?

Too late unfortunately but I intend to request copies of the judicial letters they have previously refused to provide me. If they are so proud of G.D.P.R, they should comply, huh?

I actually said to the Elder that the Form doesn't need giving back to them until later in May when G.D.P.R comes into affect; but he said they needed it done that same day to get their Paperwork in order for then the C.O visits or something.

My Group Overseer told me "it must be signed today" so I used a fake signature.

I have seen people on J.W forums say G.D.P.R is nothing to worry about as the Jobo's only store information like Address and hours preached. I'm still a bit concerned about the Blood Card and Medical Records stuff and after reading this thread am worried about financial Data. But the Elders and Borg are so busy thesedays they probly don't have time to snoop.

i may even use the g.d.p.r rules in the future to ask for my data, as the elders have refused to give me a copy of judicial letters from the brand about me in the past.

is this dodgy or did they have grounds to withhold the brand letters about me?.

I'm P.I.M.O but decided to sign the G.D.P.R form to prevent raising any red flags with the Elders. I may even use the G.D.P.R rules in the future to ask for my data, as the Elders have refused to give me a copy of judicial letters from the brand about me in the past. Is this dodgy or did they have grounds to withhold the brand letters about me?

Anyway, I'm not overly concerned my data will end up being sent from the Britain branch to a country where rules are much softer, as the J.W's would then be in breach of G.D.P.R. I'm slightly worried they will automatically apply G.D.P.R to sniffing around Publisher's medical records like it says they can do on the new Blood Card. I haven't signed the new style Blood Card, but even if I had, can they request access to medical records for no good reason, if you're not even in an accident or in Hospital?

Also, thinking about G.D.P.R more widely, do Forums like this have to do anything about it because they've technically stored names and E-Mail addresses?

Unhappy being asked to give a Disfellowshipped Sister a ride to and from Meetings

i'm pimo, very much against disfellowshipping, and going to a meeting leaves me feeling confused and angry at the best of times.

except an elder asked me on thursday night if i can start giving a ride to a disfellowshipped woman because she lives near me and nobody else from the hall lives in my village.

it seems the elder and his family who have been giving this woman a ride for the past six months can no longer stomach the time it takes them to go out of their way.. i thought all normal publishers weren't to have any contact with disfellowshipped people?

I'm a woman too, explaining why this Elder asked me to give the disfellowshipped woman a ride rather than ask a Brother.

When the Elder asked me on Thursday night, I did actually dig a bit and he hinted this disfellowshipped woman still smokes and is at least a year off being Reinstated.

I just didn't think J.W Elders make any exceptions for the average flock to speak to DF people, and it will be very weird having to shun this woman at the Kingdom Hall after she gets out of my car.

I thought all normal publishers weren't to have any contact with disfellowshipped people? I mean, this woman is told to sit at the back, and I was told six months ago (when I didn't know who she was) not to speak to her as she's disfellowshipped. So why are the Elders in my Kingdom Hall being relaxed about asking people to give this woman a ride? It freaks me out being told not to say a word to her before she gets in my car and not a word once she's gotten back out, but it's fine to chat to her on the car ride. What the hell? I've heard from others in the Hall that she asks weird questions and can get angry, so these are extra reasons I'm unhappy.
